• Roadside Assistance Free 24/7 (mechanical faults only). Negligence (lost keys, wrong fuel, etc.) charged.

📋 Full Terms & Conditions

 

1. General Terms

• Booqcar reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings if renting requirements are not met.
• The renter must present a valid passport/national ID and driving license.
• All additional drivers must meet the same requirements as the main driver.
• Vehicles must be returned:
• At the agreed rental station.
• Before the contract expiry.
• In the same condition, with the same fuel level, and all equipment included.

1. Security Deposit & Payment

• A security deposit is blocked on the main driver’s credit card upon pick-up (not cash).
• The amount depends on vehicle category:
• €450 – Mini/Economy
• €800 – Compact/Intermediate
• €1,200 – SUV, Van, Luxury
• Deposit is released after return (subject to your bank’s timeline, up to 30 days).
• Accepted cards: Visa, MasterCard (credit/debit). Virtual/prepaid cards are not accepted.

1. Age & License Rules

• Minimum age:
• 21 years for Mini, Economy, Compact, Intermediate (1 year license).
• 24 years for SUV, Van, Premium (3 years license).
• Maximum age: 85 years.
• Young/Senior Driver Surcharge: €10/day (max €100 total) for under 24 or over 71.
• Licenses not in French/English/Latin alphabet require an International Driving Permit (IDP) or certified translation.

1. Mileage Policy

• All rentals include unlimited mileage.
• Fair usage applies. Excessive or abusive use may incur penalties.

1. Fuel Policy

• Same-to-Same: Vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pick-up.
• Missing fuel charged at pump price + €20 refueling fee.

1. Restricted Use

• Driving is prohibited on:
• Dirt roads, off-road terrain, sand, or through water.
• Vehicles are equipped with GPS trackers for compliance and safety (see Privacy Policy).
• Insurance does not cover damage from prohibited use. A €300 penalty applies.

1. Insurance Coverage

• Included:
• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with deductible.
• Theft Protection (TP).
• Third-Party Liability (up to €1,220,000 for injury/death, €1,220,000 for property damage).
• Optional:
• Full Damage Waiver (FDW): reduces deductible to €0 (excludes underside, tires, glass, interior, keys, wrong fuel).
• WUG Protection: adds coverage for wheels, underside, and glass (requires FDW).
• Insurance is void in cases of: driving under influence, unauthorized drivers, gross negligence, illegal activities, or off-road driving.

1. Traffic Violations & Fines

• The renter is fully responsible for all traffic fines, tolls, and violations during the rental.
• An administration fee applies for processing fines.

1. Cancellation & Amendments

• Cancellations must be made in writing (email).
• Refunds:
• 48h+ before pick-up → 100% refund.
• 24–48h before → 50% refund.
• Less than 24h → No refund.
• Refunds may take up to 30 business days.
• Early return or downgrades are non-refundable.

1. Additional Drivers

• Must meet all renter requirements.
• €5/day per additional driver (max €50).
• Max of 3 additional drivers allowed.

1. Late Return Policy

• 60 minutes grace period.
• After that: one full-day rental rate + €25 late fee applies.

1. Roadside Assistance

• Free for mechanical faults (engine failure, etc.).
• Charges apply for renter negligence (lost keys, wrong fuel, flat battery due to misuse, etc.).

1. Cross-Border Policy

• Driving outside Tunisia is not permitted unless expressly authorized in writing by Booqcar with extra insurance.
• Unauthorized cross-border use voids insurance coverage.

1. Delivery & Collection

• Available only at certain stations.
• Within 5 km: free during office hours.
• Beyond 5 km: €1/km + VAT.

1. One-Way Rentals

• Allowed with 48h prior notice.
• One-way fee applies (depends on distance).
• Unauthorized one-way returns incur penalty fees.

1. Smoking & Cleanliness

• Smoking is prohibited in all Booqcar vehicles.
• Vehicles returned excessively dirty or with stained interiors incur cleaning fees (€30–150).

1. Theft Policy

• Theft Protection (TP) covers total theft with deductible (same as CDW deductibles).
• Not covered: attempted theft, stolen personal belongings, acts of God, terrorist acts, lost keys.
• Police report & vehicle keys must be presented for coverage.
